Mont Saint-Michel (Saint Michael’s Mount) is situated right on the border between Normandy and Brittany, making it the ideal starting point for exploring the region’s many natural, historical and cultural heritage sites. In the Manche region of Normandy, a few kilometres from Mont Saint-Michel, visit the Scriptorial museum in the city of Avranches, which houses manuscripts from Mont Saint-Michel. Whilst in Manche, explore Villedieu les Poêles, France’s copper capital, or head to the walled town of Granville, birth place of Christian Dior, and take a boat to the Chausey islands, Jersey and Guernsey.

Over in Brittany, make the most of your stay on Mont Saint-Michel and take a trip to Saint Malo or Cancale to admire the beautiful landscape of the Côte d’Emeraude (Emerald Coast).
